ABOLITIONISTS' MUSEUM

  • THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2019

  • 7:00 PM 9:00 PM

  • OLD DONATION SCHOOL VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (MAP)

Harriet Tubman, John Brown, Nat Turner, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Abraham Lincoln and David Walker are wax figures in a museum where the Curator has recently hung a Confederate flag.

Using language from their writings and speeches these eight, each of whom had a significant impact on the American slavery narrative, leads to a spirited debate about burning the flag.

At the end of the show the audience is asked,

“If you were a resident in this wax museum what would your vote be to burn or not to burn the rebel cloth!”
