· Your Voice Matters – Be Part of Creative Conversations About Community!
· Also -- Introducing the Juneteenth Declaration of Independence!
JuneteenthVA invites you to actively participate in an important community event: Creative Conversations About Community - Local Topics, Global Issues.
For decades, JuneteenthVA has been staging our history plays – rooted in the profound stories of the Tidewater Region -- and conducting conversations that bring together people from widely different racial and other backgrounds to share their reactions to shared history and their thoughts about their shared experiences.
On December 3, we are delighted to welcome the In[HEIR]itance Project to further the conversation. The In[HEIR]itance Project is a group of engaged humans, artists, and learners who travel around the country in conversation with communities about shared inheritance and lived experiences.
After the In[HEIR]itance conversation, JuneteenthVA will host an open mic celebrating the 13th Amendment, which was ratified December 6, 1865, and we will debut the Juneteenth Declaration of Independence.
Your voice matters…please join us in conversation!
