The Nat Turner Library is hosting its annual Nat Turner Day of acknowledgement, reflection and fellowship, sending peaceful vibrations to the Ancestral realm, giving thanks for our liberation from the shackles of mental and physical bondage. This year’s event marks the 190th anniversary of the August 21, 1831 event when Freedom Fighter General Nat Turner led the Black Liberation Army into America's most successful slave revolt in Southampton County, Virginia.
